In this monthly series we’re highlighting posters from Michelin’s British advertising campaigns. Featuring recognisable straplines, occasional British institutions and fabulously eye-catching designs – as well as appearances from Bibendum, naturally! – we’re sure many of you will recognise or remember them fondly from back in the day.
Always the Traveller’s Friend and Companion
Since the early days of providing journey itineraries, recommendations for where to stay or get a good meal to the nearest golf course or tyre fitting establishment, Michelin Guides, Atlases and Road Maps have always helped travellers improve their travel experience and discover new places. In this post we’ve reproduced some examples of historical British advertising posters promoting these publications.
